To create an arc, you can specify various combinations of center, endpoint, start point, radius, angle, chord length, and direction values.
Draw the Arc in a Clockwise Direction
By default, arcs are drawn in a counterclockwise direction. Use this method to draw them in a clockwise direction.
- Hold down the Ctrl key as you drag to draw the arc.
- Release Ctrl to draw in a counterclockwise direction again.
Draw an Arc by Specifying Three Points
- Click Home tab

At the Command prompt, enter arc. - Specify the start point.
- Specify a point on the arc.
- Specify the endpoint.

At the Command prompt, enter arc. - Specify a start point.
- Specify the center point.
- Specify the endpoint.
Continue an Arc with a Tangential Line
- Complete the arc.
- Click Home tab

Line.
At the Command prompt, enter line. - Press Enter at the first prompt.
- Enter the length of the line and press Enter.
Continue an Arc with a Tangential Arc
- Complete the arc.
- Click Home tab

Continue.
At the Command prompt, enter arc. - Specify the second endpoint of the tangent arc.
