Polyline grips offer some grip-specific options that depend on the grip location (vertex or midpoint), the segment type (line or arc), and the type of polyline (standard, curve-fit, or spline-fit.)
- Select the polyline to display its grips.
- Edit using one of the following methods:
- Stretch the polyline or its vertex. Select a grip and drag it to the new location.
- Add a vertex. Right-click a vertex
Add Vertex. Specify a location for the new vertex. - Remove a vertex. Right-click a vertex Remove Vertex.
- Convert a straight segment to an arc. Right-click the midpoint grip on a straight segment Convert to Arc. Specify a location for the arc midpoint.
- Convert an arc to a line. Right-click the midpoint of an arc segment Convert to Line.
- Convert to spline. Right-click a polyline with straight line segments Polyline Curve Fit or Spline Fit.
- Edit a curve-fit polyline. Select the polyline and drag the grips to a new location.
- Remove the curves from a spline. Right-click the spline fit polyline Polyline Decurve.
