To Make a Copy of an Object on a Different Layer

Click Home tabLayers panelCopy Objects to New Layer.At the Command prompt, enter COPYTOLAYER.
Select the objects that you want to copy, and press Enter.
Select an object on the destination layer.
Do one of the following:
- Specify a base point, and then specify a second point for the location of the object on the destination layer.
- Enter the displacement in the form of a Cartesian, polar, cylindrical, or spherical coordinates. At the prompt for the second point of displacement, press Enter.
