How to show and hide the command window, text window, and extended command history.

Open or Close the Command Window

Do one of the following:

Click View tabPalettes panelCommand Line.
Press Ctrl+9.
At the Command prompt, enter COMMANDLINE or COMMANDLINEHIDE.

Open the Text Window

Do one of the following to display the stand-alone text window:

If the command window is docked or closed: Press F2.
If the command window is not docked or closed: Press Ctrl+F2.
Click View tab User Interface panel User Interface (flyout) Text Window.

Display Extended Command History

If the command window is not docked or closed, do one of the following:

Press F2.
Click the arrow at the right end of the command window.
