When calculating the scale for annotation objects other than text objects, follow these guideline:
- Dimensions. Set the dimension scale factor equal to that of the drawing scale factor.
- Linetypes. Use the results of the formula drawing scale factor / 2.
- Hatches. Set the hatch scale based on the pattern used. Hatch patterns that start with AR commonly use the drawing scale factor as the appropriate value for the hatch scale.
- Attributes and Tables. Use the same formulas as text objects.
- Block Definitions. Typically do not need to be scaled as they are created at 1:1. However, if they contain text or attributes they might need to be scaled. When the block is created, it should be created at the appropriate size so it can be scaled as needed.
