Annotation objects are notes that include other types of explanatory symbols or objects commonly used to add information to your drawing.
Most annotation objects in a drawing are used to provide information about a feature, such as the length of a wall, center of a bolt connection, or callout the type of window being used. Unlike most objects in a drawing, annotation objects are not drawn at a scale of 1:1. Annotation objects are drawn at a size or scale based on how they should appear when plotted.
You control the size of an annotation object by defining the object as non-annotative and annotative. For non-annotative annotation, the specify a fixed size or scale which results in the annotation objects becoming smaller or larger based on the scale used to plot the drawing. Annotative annotation is adjusted to display uniformly at the same height when different plot scales are specified or for an annotation object not to be displayed when plotting at specific scales.
