As you work, the cursor changes to reflect your current activity.

In the drawing area, the appearance of the cursor changes:
- If you are prompted to specify a point location, the crosshairs cursor is displayed.
- If you are prompted to select an object, the cursor changes to a small square called a pickbox.
- When no command is active, the cursor is a combination of the crosshairs and pickbox.
- If you are prompted to enter text, the cursor is a vertical text entry bar.
You can change the size of the crosshairs and pickbox cursors on the Selection and Display tabs of the Options dialog box (OPTIONS).
Cursor Badges
Several common commands display a cursor badge next to the crosshairs or pickbox cursor. Shown from left to right are the cursor badges for the Move, Scale, Rotate, Copy, ID, and Erase operations.

You can control whether cursor badges are displayed with the CURSORBADGE system variable.
