On a layout, displays the scale of the current viewport or of a selected layout viewport.
Find
VPSCALE operates only in a layout. If model space is active in a layout viewport, VPSCALE reports the current scale. If paper space is active, VPSCALE prompts you to select the edge of a layout viewport.
The viewport scale is displayed in one of three ways:
- If your current units are architectural, the result looks like this: PS:MS == 1:96 Viewport Scale: 1/8" = 1'-0"
- If your current units are engineering, the result looks like this: PS:MS == 1:96 Viewport Scale: 1" = 8'
- For all other units, the scale looks like this: PS:MS == 1:96
