To Recover From an Attack by Malicious Code

If your installation has already been impacted by a malicious application or routine that runs on startup, following these general steps:

1. Run your anti-virus checker. All leading anti-virus solutions identify and repair AutoCAD virus infections.
2. Start your AutoCAD-based product using the /safemode command line switch.
3. Find and remove all malicious code.
4. Repair any affected files.
5. Set the SECURELOAD system variable to 1 or 2.
6. Set the TRUSTEDPATHS system variable to unique, read-only folders.
7. Set the TRUSTEDDOMAINS system variable to one or more trusted domains or URLs.
8. Remove the /safemode command line switch from the command line parameters.
