To Import an FBX File

Click Insert tabImport panelImport. At the Command prompt, enter IMPORT.
In the Import File dialog box, in the Files of type box, select FBX (*.fbx).
Find and select the FBX file you want to import, or enter the name of the FBX file at File Name.
Click Open.
The FBX Import Options dialog box displays.
Specify the items to be imported, the assigned layer for the objects, and the conversion units.

NoteImporting the FBX file as a block allows you to modify it.
