Product Documentation
Beginner

From the basic line object, you can create polylines, polygons, multilines, and freehand sketches.

Polylines--A polyline is a connected sequence of line segments. Polyline applications including the following:

  • Contour lines for topographic, isobaric, and other scientific applications
  • Wiring diagrams and printed cicuit board layouts
  • Process and piping diagrams

Polygons--You can create:

  • Equilateral triangles
  • Squares
  • Rectangles
  • Pentagons, hexagons, octagons, and other figures.

. Multilines--Multilines are composed of parallel lines called elements. When you draw a multiline, you can specify:

  • A style to control the number of elements in the multiline and their properties.
  • Positioning (justification) of the multiline on the left, center, or right of the cursor.
  • Scale (width) of the multiline, using current units.

Freehand Sketches--Freehand sketches may comprise many line segments that are converted into lines, polylines, or splines. Use sketches to:

  • Create irregular boundaries.
  • Trace outlines from paper directly into a drawing using Tablet Mode.
