July 27, 2026

Fixed Issues

Problems Reported Through the Customer Error Reporting Utility

Based on detailed information from customers using the Customer Error Reporting Utility, we identified and fixed several defects, including the following:

Autodesk Assistant
Occasional crashes when double-clicking the Autodesk Assistant button on the ribbon from the Start tab.
Blocks
Occasional crashes when copying a block with Ctrl+C after using WBLOCK to write the entire drawing to a new file.
Occasional crashes when right-clicking an entire drawing block that contains nested blocks in the Design Center palette.
Occasional crashes when deleting a block from a tool palette while a block insertion is still in progress.
Plot and Publish
Occasional crashes when importing or attaching certain PDF files using PDFIMPORT or PDFATTACH.
Occasional crashes when plotting with transparency enabled to a third-party PDF printer while the drawing contains a DWF underlay.
Sheet Set Manager
Occasional crashes when two co-editors of a connected sheet set create a new subset with the same default name at nearly the same time.
Trace
Occasional crashes when working with checked-out objects during a shared (collaboration) session.
General
Occasional crashes when switching between drawings, zooming, or changing the visual style after editing text.
Occasional crashes when repeatedly opening and closing certain drawings in the same session with Raster Design installed.
Occasional out-of-memory crashes when scanning objects with Geometry Cleanup in certain large drawings.
Occasional crashes when closing AutoCAD with certain add-on applications installed.
Occasional crashes when checking a drawing into Vault that contains unexpected entries in the image dictionary.
Occasional crashes when hiding xref and underlay frames in certain drawings.

General Update Content

The following defects have been fixed:

Count
COUNT now detects all matching block instances in a drawing, including those positioned at the edges of the count area.
A count field tied to a count area now stays valid after you WBLOCK the entire drawing to a new file.
Display
Models now render correctly in the Realistic visual style when hardware-accelerated Fast Shaded mode is enabled.
In-place editing of an associative array no longer switches the visual style, eliminating the regenerations that previously slowed entering and exiting the edit.
Geometry Cleanup
The Geometry Cleanup palette now refreshes to display the correct remaining errors after errors are fixed in the Block Editor and you return to the Model tab.
Geometry Cleanup error markers no longer display with an exaggerated heavy lineweight when you hover over them while lineweight display is on and hardware acceleration is off.
Multiline Text and Text
MText objects now update immediately when the font assigned to their text style is changed in the Text Style dialog box, matching the behavior of single-line text.
Text and block attribute text now display with correct alignment and spacing after a regeneration, fixing incorrect spacing that appeared with certain fonts.
MText and multileader text whose text style was corrected by CHECKSTANDARDS now update in the drawing after you run REGEN or REGENALL.
Performance
Object selection now responds faster, resolving a performance regression where selection operations were slower than expected.
AutoCAD now starts quickly regardless of the Windows display language, resolving long startup times that occurred when the system was set to any language other than English.
AutoCAD now maintains consistent performance throughout long sessions, preventing background console processes from accumulating and causing progressive slowdown.
Plot and Publish
Images inside a polygonal viewport are now plotted correctly when printing to GDI-based drivers such as Adobe PDF.
Drawings now rotate correctly in the plotted output when Landscape orientation is set in both the printer's custom properties and the Plot dialog box.
Sheet names in PDFs published from Sheet Set Manager using page setup overrides are now correct, rather than all sheets reusing the name of the first sheet.
A solid hatch inside a clipped external reference now plots completely when plotting the layout.
Start Tab
Thumbnails are now generated and shown for cloud-stored project drawings without requiring you to open and resave each drawing.
The lock status shown for cloud project drawings now updates automatically when you open or close a drawing.
Cloud drawing icons in the Start tab Recent list now remain correct after opening additional drawings.
Drawing thumbnails in the Start tab Recent list now update automatically when you save changes to an open drawing, without requiring a manual refresh.
Sheet Set Manager
You can now create a cloud sheet set when the description contains line breaks, and the structure of other cloud sheet sets displays correctly in the Sheet Set Manager list afterward.
Sheet Set Manager for AutoCAD Web can now publish sheet set projects that were created in the classic Sheet Set Manager and stored in Forma Data Management.
Sheet and sheet set property changes made by one user are now synced to another user who is editing properties of the same cloud sheet set at the same time.
Cleared default standard include options in a Sheet Set Manager transmittal setup are now retained after you close and reopen the sheet set.
The sheet creation template and page setup overrides are now retained when a sheet set created in the web-based Sheet Set Manager is later opened in the connected Sheet Set Manager.
General
AutoCAD now works normally when opening a drawing after Windows Update KB5083769 is installed.
Attached bitonal TIFF images now invert correctly against the drawing background again, so a white image background turns dark on a dark canvas.
Ordinate dimensions no longer shift when you change the UCS, save, and reopen a drawing while UCSVP is set to 0.
The main customization (CUIx) file now keeps its loaded status when a project customization (CUIx) file is added as a partial CUI and you then switch to a drawing outside the project.
The "Open with" dialog box can now be canceled when opening a non-markup DWF file from the Markup Set Manager on Windows 11.
The screen displays correctly after you change LTSCALE in model space inside a layout viewport.
The GEOLOCATION online map now loads correctly behind a firewall, displaying the map instead of only the location marker.
You can again drag the Layer State ribbon combo box onto the QAT in the CUI Editor, restoring behavior from earlier releases.
Uploading changes from a linked table back to its source Microsoft Excel file on OneDrive now succeeds instead of reporting that the data link could not be updated.
Using Open File Location no longer leaves an orphaned File Explorer process running in the background after you close the File Explorer window.
When a drawing is saved with SAVEAS to save a drawing to a new file, AutoCAD now performs a full save so the file size no longer grows unnecessarily with each save.
Hatch patterns saved in older drawings now display correctly instead of showing only their boundaries.
The LAYISO command now runs correctly when started from the ribbon or command line.
The Properties palette and Tool Palettes window now maintain their correct stacking order when you switch between project-aware and non-project-aware drawings.
All objects now display correctly in a viewport after creating a viewport with MVIEW.
The Drawing Compare toolbar now appears when you run a drawing comparison after having already run an external reference comparison in the same session.
The Blocks palette block detection now excludes checked-out objects, the same way it already skips objects on locked layers, preventing merge conflicts.
The Windows taskbar now displays the correct product icon when AutoCAD-based products, such as Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD Electrical, are installed side by side.
