HDI (Heidi ® Device Interface) drivers are used to communicate with hard copy devices.
HDI drivers fall into three categories:
- File format drivers (such as Design Web format and Portable Document Format)
- HDI nonsystem drivers
- HDI system printer drivers
HDI drivers should be used for older 'legacy' devices that cannot be set up through the operating system (OS). Newer devices that can be configured through the OS should be used by the program as a system printer instead of a nonsystem printer.
Check with the vendor of the device to see which drivers are compatible with the plotter and program.
Note: It is highly recommended that you update your drivers regularly to avoid plotting problems.
