- In the New Project dialog box, enter the Project name, location and description select of the project.
- Select Create Blank Project.
- Click Create Project to display the newly created Project in the Project Manager.
This creates a new empty project using the default settings and property values.
- In the New Project dialog box, select Use Template and browse the template to create a project.
The template project provides the organizational structure, groups, label and callout blocks, and default properties for the new project.
- In the New Project dialog box, select Copy Existing Project Structure.
- Click Browse to select a project data (DST) file in Finder.
- Specify one or more folders that contain drawing files.
- Specify the subset organization for the projects. The layouts from these drawings are imported into the project automatically.
- Enter the name, description and location of the new sheet set.
- Click Create Project to display the newly created Project in the Project Manager.
Create a Blank Project
Once the project is created, you can modify its properties, add layouts from existing drawings, and create new layouts or sub-groups.
Create a Project from a Template
After you create an empty project with this option, you can Import layouts or create layouts individually.
Create a Project from an Existing Project
When you choose to create a project from an existing DST file, the project provides the organizational structure only for the new project. The properties are set to their default values and no layouts are added from the existing project.
