To Extract Curves from Surfaces, Solids, and Faces of Solids

Extract lines, plines, splines, or arcs from surfaces and the faces of solids in either the U or V directions.

1. Click Surface tabCurves panelExtract Isolines.At the Command prompt, enter SURFEXTRACTCURVE
2. Select a surface, solid, or face.
3. Click to extract an isoline curve represented by the preview line.

   Curves are extracted in the U direction by default.

4. If necessary, enter D the direction in which the curves are detected.

   Continue clicking points on the surface, solid, or face to extract more curves.

5. Press Enter to end the command.
