How to specify a color stylization mode for a selected point cloud.
Set the Point Cloud Color Stylization (Ribbon)
- In the drawing area, select an attached point cloud.
- Click Point Cloud tab
Visualization panel
Stylization (flyout).
- Select one of the following options:
- Scan Colors. Displays points with real-world colors originally captured during the scanning process.
- Object Color. Assigns the color of the point cloud object (such as ByLayer or ByObject).
- Normal. Assigns colors to points based on the normal direction of the points.
- Intensity. Assigns colors to points based on a color scheme mapped to intensity values with POINTCLOUDCOLORMAP.
Set the Point Cloud Color Stylization (Properties)
- In the drawing area, select an attached point cloud.
- If the Properties window is not open, right-click the drawing area

Point Cloud Visualization
Stylization box, select a different option.
Configure Hardware Settings to Display Point Clouds in Color
If the point cloud is not displaying in color as expected, you might need to turn on hardware acceleration.
- At the Command prompt, enter 3DCONFIG.
- In the Adaptive Degradation and Performance Tuning dialog box, click Manual Tune.
- In the Manual Performance Tuning dialog box, select Enable Hardware Acceleration.
