Creates and modifies clipping boundaries that define which points are displayed in a selected point cloud.
Summary
Clipping boundaries filter out areas of the point cloud that you do not need to see. Clipped portions are not removed and can be turned on and off as you work. You can define rectangular or polygonal clipping boundaries and combine them with a 3D clipping box to customize how the point cloud is displayed. Defining clipping boundaries for large point clouds improves program performance.

Creates either a rectangular or polygonal clipping boundary.
- Select polyline. Converts a polyline that you select to a clipping boundary for a selected point cloud. The polyline can be open, but must have straight segments that do not intersect each other.
- Polygonal. Creates a point cloud clipping boundary based on three or more locations or drawing coordinates that you specify.
- Rectangular. Creates a point cloud clipping boundary based on the corners that you specify.
- Invert clip. Switches the display of the points in the point cloud to be either inside or outside the clipping boundary.
