To Lengthen an Object

Click Drafting tab > Modify panel > Lengthen.
Note: Hidden by default. Click to display the icon on the tool set panel.
Enter dy (Dynamic Dragging mode).
Select the object you want to lengthen.
Drag the endpoint closest to the point of selection, and specify a new endpoint.
