The Object Viewer lets you display selected objects, styles, or tools in different view directions, display configurations, and visual styles. You can also define parallel or perspective views.
- Open the Object Viewer from one of these locations:
- Select an object in the drawing area, and click
.
- Click
, and click the
button.
Alternatively, you can click the
button (Inline Edit Toggle) to display the Object Viewer embedded inside Style Manager.
- Select a mass group, and click
.
- Select an object in the drawing area, and click
- Select a visual style from the drop-down menu on the top left.
Alternatively, right-click in the preview area, click Visual Style, and select the desired style.
- Select a display configuration from the drop-down list below the Visual Styles drop-down list.
Display configurations are collections of object display representations, determining which objects are visible, and how the objects are displayed per view.
Note: Display configurations are not available in some embedded Object Viewers. - Select a view direction from the drop-down menu on the top right.
Alternatively, right-click in the preview area, click Preset Views, and select the desired view direction.
- Select the projection type of the objects in the preview:
- Click
to display the objects in a parallel projection.
- Click
to display the objects in a perspective projection. Perspective views require a distance between a theoretical camera and target point. in order to change the lens length of the camera, click
and enter the desired value.
Alternatively, right-click in the preview area, click Projection, and select the desired view projection.
Note: In embedded Object Viewers, only the context menu options of these commands are available. - Click
