What's New in V2021.1

  1. Supported Platforms - In a continuing effort to support the latest FEA platforms, Helius PFA now supports Autodesk Inventor Nastran 2021, Autodesk Inventor Nastran 2022, and Ansys 2020R1 (201), 2020R2 (202), and 2021R1 (211).

Note: Helius PFA no longer supports workflows with Abaqus, due to changes in the nature of the relationship between Autodesk, Inc. and Dassault Systèmes.
  2. Advanced Material Exchange - Advanced Material Exchange is now installed separately and can be downloaded from here.

  3. Weld Surfacing Improvements - More complete and continuous weld surface predictions in Autodesk Moldflow Insight 2021 and 2021.1 3D analyses results in better weld surface mapping on the structural mesh. This improvement may take longer to map to the structural analysis mesh, and may alter the progressive failure outcomes at the weld-surface locations. As a consequence, you no longer need extreme mesh refinement, or small time-steps to predict continuous weld surfaces, but they may help eliminate false predictions in some cases.

  4. FEA Registration - The new Helius FEA Registration utility registers all installed and supported FEA packages with Helius.

  5. Bug Fixes - Bug fixes - Several issues were addressed in this release, and are listed in the ReadMe.
