Create Beams
Learn how to create different types of beams to use in your 3D model.
Topics in this section
- Create Straight Beams
Straight beams are created in the 3D model relative to the current user coordinate system (UCS) by entering one starting point and one end point. A beam is created according to the selected section. - Create Curved Beams
Curved beams are created in the Advance 3D model relative to the current user coordinate system (UCS) by entering three points that define an arc. - Create Poly Beams
A poly beam is a beam sequence (straight beams, curved beams or a combination of the two) created as a single object. - Create Folded Profiles
The folded profile can have an open or closed section. You can define the cross sections directly in the model by specifying the points (point by point) in the current UCS or by selecting a polyline. - Convert Lines to Beams
Lines and arcs can be converted into beams and curved beams. - Create Compound Sections
Learn how to create and customize compound sections. - Create Tapered Beams
Learn how to create and define tapered beams.
