History Visualizer Updates (2024.1)

Alias 2024.1 Update includes some updates to the look of the History Visualizer controls as well as some feature enhancements such as Resume Selected on individual tool nodes, improved search capability and more.

Refreshed look

We've updated the navigation bar so that it resembles the NavBar in the Alias viewport. The new navigation bar now includes the Fit Window and Reset as in previous versions, with the addition of Zoom and Pan. Note that zooming and panning using mouse and keyboard combinations is still supported.

Also, the view filtering buttons All, Picked, and By Layer, now look the same as similar functions in other Alias editors.

New Resume Selected

Resume Selected lets you resume suspended history on individual selected nodes. This way you no longer need to resume history on all the nodes in the graph.

Filter additions

We've provided the ability to filter the view by input and output nodes. For example, when you filter the view for Outputs, these remain highlighted, while the input nodes in the graph get dimmed. By default, Inputs and Outputs are turned on. Click the filter icon to access these options.

Improved text-based search provides more accurate results when searching. It uses a 'fuzzy' search ability, which better accommodates searches for nodes that can often include abbreviations, special characters, and numbers.
