Prompt line improvements (2024)
We've added new functionality to the prompt line input and tools, including Hotkey mode switching.
The prompt line now includes these options:
Toggle between Abs and Rel to enter absolute or relative numeric values. Typing
a

in the prompt line still works in the same way as before.New prompt line input modes:
Automatic (default) - There is no need to move the mouse to the prompt line. Keyboard number input is automatically sent to the prompt line as input. When you start to type, a blue line is displayed below the prompt line entry area. In this mode, single hotkeys can be used, excluding the reserved keys: a, r and numbers, which are interpreted as coordinates or value inputs.
Tab - Use the
Tab
key or click in the prompt line to activate it for number entry. A blue line is displayed below the prompt line entry area when it is activated for number input. In this mode, any hotkey can be assigned including a, r and numbers.
Note: To enter text strings, you need to pressTab
or click in the prompt line for both modes.Specify the number of lines to display in the prompt line. Click on the arrow icon to select 1, 2, or 3 lines for permanent prompt line display. You can still use the prompt line history icon to open a floating window that displays the full prompt history.
