- In Alias 2024 we have reworked the complete user interface and added more features.
- It all starts with a new Onboarding screen where you have access to different topics like Learning Paths, Documentation, What's New and so on.
- When you are in Alias, you will recognize that we have redone the complete UI, while keeping the well known alias DNA.
- This makes it easier for you to get used to the new look and feel of Alias.
- Many tools and workflows are the same, so the transition will be absolutely easy for you.
- However, for usability, we did change a few things.
- In the main menu, you will recognize that we have consolidated and rearranged many menus and all shelves and menus are now dockable wherever you need them.
- You can either rearrange them by using the middle-mouse-button or Shift and left-mouse-button.
- You will see the docking indicator where they will be docked when you release the mouse button. This will avoid docking by mistake.
- So for example, you can dock the Shader Lister directly with the Shader Editor or group them in one window which can be docked in as well.
- The windows are also better understanding, scale and rearranging all items accordingly.
- For your different work flows, you will now have better access to your workspaces on the bottom.
- Here you see already predefined Workspaces, but you can always create and delete your own custom Workspaces.
- We also improve the shelf system.
- If you created your own custom shelf and want to distribute it to other systems, you just export the shelf and then you can import it and use all shelves that are available.
- And if you'd like, you can also dock them together and create a new group of shelves.
- This new user interface also brings multiple new functionalities that can improve your workflow.
- For objects with history, you will now see a green H in the Object Lister and when clicking it, you can open the History Visualizer and you can edit it immediately.
- This is tremendously increasing your productivity.
- See more functionalities, tools and work flows in other videos.
