- A new Workspaces concept replaces both the previous workflow and workspace tools with one integrated environment.
- A Workspace is a container for your arrangement of tools, docked windows, shelves, and your choice of marking menus.
- When you launch Alias, four Workspaces are available.
- Default, Subdivision, Visualization, and Markup.
- Use the buttons here to switch between them as you work.
- The changes take effect immediately, so your current task is not interrupted.
- Some of the Workspaces are specialized based on your task.
- While the Default Workspace provides a tool set for your general workflows.
- You could easily customize a Workspace by adding more shelves or by modifying Marking Menus.
- Updates to a Workspace are automatically saved for your next Alias session.
- To create a new Workspace, click the plus icon at the bottom of the Alias window or use the Duplicate command from the Workspaces menu.
- A new Workspace starts with the one that is currently active.
- Type a new name for it and then add your custom shelves and Marking Menu assignments.
- To delete a Workspace, right-click its button and select Delete from the context menu.
- Or, click its trash icon in the Workspaces menu.
- Note that you cannot delete a Workspace when it is active.
- Note that Preference Profiles include your selection of Workspaces.
