Animation Improvements (2026.1)
We've made some updates to the animation workflow, including improved playback performance as well as adding new playback options.
Performance Improvements
Animation playback speed is now faster when you use VRED Render mode with the Show > Model toggle turned off. Turning off Supersampling and Hardware Anti-Aliasing in the Shaded Anti-Aliasing Options can further improve the performance.
New Playback Options
We've added Playback Options to the Animation menu, which allow you to choose to output an image file and to set options for optimizing the play back of your animations. For example, you can choose to exclude objects, such as wireframe models, cameras, and lights from your animation playback.
