Deprecated, Replaced, and Removed Features (2026.1)
The following table lists commands, tools, and features that have been deprecated, replaced, or removed from Alias 2026.1 Update.
Note the following:
- Deprecated indicates that the feature or component is currently in the process of being replaced or removed. Note that features and tools flagged as depreciated may persist in Alias for several releases. In these cases, deprecation indicates that support for them has discontinued, and that users should begin to migrate to the newer tool and feature replacements.
- Replaced indicates that the feature or component has been removed and another feature or component now provides equivalent functionality.
- Removed indicates that the feature or component has been removed without equivalent functionality.

Import and Merge of .aps files (Preferences > User Preferences > Import and Merge). | Deprecated | Deprecating the ability to import and merge legacy preference sets (.aps files). Due to the continuing differences between legacy versions of Alias (versions previous to Alias 2024) and the current version of Alias, continued support for legacy preferences (.asp files) is no longer feasible in future versions. | These legacy preferences files could be generated in versions of Alias 2023.1.1 and older (see Importing Preferences from a previous version). |
