    To Set a Component Property to Be Automatically Summed (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

    1. At the Command prompt, enter AMOPTIONS.
    2. In the Options dialog box, select the AM:Standards tab.
    3. In the Standard Elements list, double-click BOM. The BOM Settings dialog box is displayed.
    4. In the Available component properties list, in the row corresponding to the component property to be totaled, select the check box in the Sum column.
    5. Click OK.
