    To Rename a Mechanical Layer (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

    1. Click Home tabLayers panelMechanical Layer Manager. Find
    2. In the row corresponding to the mechanical layer or layer definition you want to modify, click in the Name column.
    3. Specify a new name for the layer.
    4. Click OK.
