To Create a Configuration File for Importing From a Given File (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

At the Command prompt, enter AMSETUPDWG.
In the Drawing Setup dialog box, click Overwrite Settings.
At the command prompt enter W for the Wizard option.
Select the Import Settings from drawing template option.
Click Browse, select the file to import from, and click Open.
Note: To import from a .dwg file, you must first save it as a .dwt file and then import from the dwt file.
Click Next.
Select the import options and click Next at each step until you arrive at the The Wizard is ready to import page.
Click Save Configuration.
Specify a file name and click Save.
Click Cancel.
Click Exit Wizard.
Click Yes.
