To Set the Default Tolerance Method (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

At the Command prompt, enter AMOPTIONS.
In the Options dialog box, click the AM:Standards tab.
In the Standard Elements list, double-click Dimension. The Dimension Settings dialog box appears.
Click Tolerance. The Tolerance Method dialog box appears.
From the drop-down list, select the default method for tolerances.
Click OK until all dialog boxes close.
