To Offset Hatch Lines in Relation to Hatch Lines of an Adjacent Object (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

Double-click the hatch which is to be offset from another hatch.
In the Hatch dialog box, select the Offset < button. Select the hatch which is to be used as a reference for the offset. This can be any hatch.
Specify an offset factor or an offset value, depending on the type of hatch pattern you selected. You must specify an offset factor for a user-defined hatch, and an offset value for a predefined hatch.
If available, select an additional boundary within the object you selected in Step 1.
Press ENTER.
