- In the drawing area, select any symbol, and copy it to an empty area.
- In the drawing area, double-click the symbol you created in step 2.
- Click Import. The Select File dialog box is displayed.
- Choose the .dwg or .dwt file that contains the desired Library. Note: You can only import a library that is based on the same standard and revision as the edge symbol you are editing.Note: You can import a symbol library from another drawing. However, the drafting standard and revision of the symbol you are importing must be the same in both drawings. You may be able to import a symbol library of another revision (but same standard) providing the following conditions are met.
- The symbol library you are importing was last saved in a version of AutoCAD Mechanical toolset that is different to the one you are currently using.
- The current drawing does not contain the revision you are trying to import.
- Select the method of import;
- To remove the existing library and replace it with the imported library, select Replace.
- To append the imported library to the existing library while overwriting symbols with the same names, select Overwrite.
- To append the imported library to the existing library while renaming symbols with the same name, select Append.
- Click OK. The program adds the imported edge symbols to the library.
- Click OK.
- Delete the symbol you created in step 2.
