You can export parts lists to other file formats, edit or add data to the exported file, and import it back again.
For example, you can export a parts list to an .xls file, edit it in Microsoft Excel, and import it back again. The parts list as well as the associated BOM are updated. The following export/import formats are supported:
- .txt - tab-separated value file
- .csv - comma-separated value file
- .html - Web page
BOMKEY values are used to identify items uniquely in the exported file. If you do not modify BOMKEY values, existing items update correctly when you import it back again. Any new rows are appended to the BOM, but are not associated with any geometry in the drawing.
