To Check or Change the Current BOM While Ballooning (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

Click Annotate tabBalloon panelBalloons. Find
Examine the prompt. The prompt indicates the current BOM.
Note: If the current BOM setting is not available, resize the command window or use the scroll bar to display the setting within the viewable area.
If the current BOM is not the one to use for ballooning, enter B to select the set BOM option.
To select the Main BOM, enter MAIN.
To select a Border BOM, click the appropriate border.

To select an assembly BOM for an annotation view, click a geometry that belongs to the annotation view.

Tip:
When creating balloons for annotations view, if you use the Create Balloons right-click menu option on the mechanical browser, AutoCAD Mechanical toolset automatically selects the correct BOM for you.

To select an assembly BOM, enter the name of the assembly.
