Chamfers an edge or connects two nonparallel lines by extending them or trimming them to join by a beveled line.

List of Prompts
The following prompts are displayed.
- First object
- Specifies the first of two lines
First object
Creates a chamfer by connecting two lines with a beveled line. Select the first of the two lines required to define the chamfer.
- Second Object
- Specifies the second of the two lines required to define the chamfer.
- Apply corner
- Connects the two lines without adding a beveled line. You apply this option by shift-clicking (instead of clicking), at the time you are prompted to select the second object.
- Create original lengths
- Restores line segments trimmed while creating the chamfer. This prompt appears only if you chamfer 2 line objects.
Polyline
Chamfers all vertexes of a polyline.
- Select polyline
- Specifies the polyline to modify.
Setup
Shows the Chamfer dialog box, enabling you to specify the chamfer lengths and chamfer dimension representations. This option is displayed only if the AMCHAM2DTAB system variable is 0.
Add Dimension
Creates dimensions for a chamfer.
