AMCHECKDIM searches a drawing for dimensions where the dimension text value (DIMTXT) does not contain the default (“*<>*”, or “”) value. If the program finds dimensions with overridden text, it highlights them and shows the number of dimensions found at the command line.
As the program highlights the dimensions, it creates a selection set of all highlighted dimensions. If you end the command with ENTER or “Highlight,” you can access the selection set with the PREVIOUS keyword.
You can use the following options:
- Highlight - leaves the dimensions highlighted; ends the command without redrawing the dimensions.
- Edit - steps through each highlighted dimension and enables you to edit the dimension.
- ENTER - ends the command, and redraws the highlighted dimensions. Creates a selection set.
