Using the option for the representation of the side view in the Shaft Generator Configuration dialog box, you can define whether the shaft is shown from the right or left side view. To use this option, you must have inserted a segment previously.
- In the Shaft Generator dialog box, select the Side View option.
- In the Side View dialog box specify, whether the side view is to be generated from the left or the right of the shaft.
- Specify the insertion point.
Note:
- The program checks the measurements, so that the side view does not overdraw the shaft, and suggests an insertion point. The side view is always inserted with a preset value to the front view. If you accept this preset value, collisions between front and side view will be avoided.
- Automatic updating of the side view: If the shaft will be worked on further, after sections and side views have been generated, you will be asked, when exiting from the Shaft Generator, whether the sections and side views are to be updated. If you want them to be automatically updated, activate the Always Update option in the Configuration.
- Automatic moving of the side view: In the Shaft Generator Configuration dialog box, use the Move of Side View option to specify a new position for the side view, if collisions between front view and side view occur. The following message appears:
Side view collides with Front view. New position:
The newly calculated position can be confirmed with Return.
- When freezing standard content: If standard content is frozen, and the background of the parts, which was made invisible, is not restored in the side view initiate AM2DHIDEDIT. Select the keyword option Update and then, select the side view. The side view will be represented correctly.
