To Turn On Automatic Property Management (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

At the Command prompt, enter AMOPTIONS.
Click the AM:Standards tab.
In the Standard Elements list, double-click the name of the Standard (the root node of the tree). The Standard Settings dialog box appears.
Select the Let AutoCAD Mechanical toolset manage object properties check box.
Click OK until all dialog boxes close.
