To Configure the Default Representation of Slope/Taper Rate (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

At the Command prompt, enter AMOPTIONS.
In the Options dialog box, click the AM:Standards tab.
In the Standard Elements list, double-click Taper and Slope. The Taper and Slope Settings dialog box appears.
In the Preferred dimension type section, select the representation.
If you selected ratio:
1. In the Format list, select how the ratio must be represented.
2. In the Separator box, specify one or more characters to separate the two numbers in the ratio.
Click OK until all dialog boxes close.
