To Set the Type of Object Snap (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

At the Command prompt, enter AMOPTIONS.
In the Options dialog box, select the AM:Preferences tab.
From the Snap Settings list, select a type of setting for object snaps.
In the Options dialog box, choose OK.
