To Create a Taper/Slope Symbol, Automatically Calculating the Slope (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

Click Annotate tabSymbol panelTaper and Slope. Find
In the drawing area, select the baseline the slope must be measured from.
In the drawing area, select the object that the symbol must attach to.
In the drawing area select a point on the slope/taper.
AutoCAD Mechanical toolset uses this point to calculate the slope. It also uses this point as the start point of the leader. If you want to place the symbol without a leader, the point must be the position you want to place the symbol.
In the drawing area, click to specify the vertices of the leader and press ENTER.
To place the symbol without a leader, press ENTER first and then click in the drawing area to specify the orientation of the symbol.
If the calculated slope is not in the correct format, select the appropriate format from the Dimension list.
Note: The Dimension box is named only in tooltips.
Click OK.
