To Create a Construction Line at a Preset Distance From a Selected Line (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

Click Home tabConstruction panelConstruction LinesParallel with Full Distance. Find
Select an xline, a ray, or a line.
Specify an insertion point, or enter a distance value.
If you entered a distance value in step 4, specify the side to offset the construction line from the base line.

Note:

The construction line is drawn at the preset distance from the selected line.
