To Create a Chamfer Dimension (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

Using the Default Representation for Chamfer Dimensions

  1. Click Annotate tabDimension panelChamfer. Find
  2. Select the chamfer line you wish to dimension, followed by the first and second extension lines. The chamfer dimension appears.
  3. Press ENTER.

Overriding the Default Representation for Chamfer Dimensions

  1. Click Home tabModify panelChamfer. Find
  2. On the ribbon, select Chamfer Options panelInsert Dimension. Find
  3. On the ribbon, in the Chamfer Options panelChamfer Dimension Representation , select the representation for the chamfer dimension.
  4. At the command prompt, enter D, for the dimension option.
  5. Select the chamfer line you wish to dimension, followed by the first and second extension lines. The chamfer dimension appears.
  6. Press ENTER.
