To Set the Data Type and Format of a Component Property (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

At the Command prompt, enter AMOPTIONS.
In the Options dialog box, select the AM:Standards tab.
In the Standard Elements list, double-click BOM. The BOM Settings dialog box is displayed.
In the Available component properties list, in the row corresponding to the component property you want to change, select the data type from the drop-down list in the Data Type column.
In the Precision column, click and select the precision from the drop-down list.
In the Leading Zeros column, click and select the number of leading zeros from the drop-down list.
Note: Steps 5 and 6 apply to numeric data only.
Click OK.
