Because door/window assemblies can contain multiple nested grids, it is helpful to use a naming convention for grids that indicates the level of each grid and the grid location or the purpose within the door/window assembly. For example, L3-FL1-Stone Panels identifies a third level grid that provides a row of stone panels on Floor 1.

Note: Alternatively, select a door/window assembly in the drawing, and click.
- Select a door/window assembly style.
- Click the Design Rules tab.
- In the left pane, select Divisions under Element Definitions.
- Click
to create a new division definition.
- Enter a name for this division definition.
- For Orientation, select either Horizontal
, or Vertical
.
- Select one of the following division types and specify offsets if needed:
Division Type Description Fixed Cell Dimension Creates a grid where the size of the individual cells is predetermined. Fixed Number of Cells Creates a grid where the number of grid cells is predetermined. Manual Creates a grid where the size and number of individual cells is manually determined by the user. After you create a division definition, you can assign the definition to a specific grid in a door/window assembly.
- When you are finished creating division definitions, click OK.
