Use this procedure to add lines to a manual grid. A manual grid allows maximum control over the grid, but requires that you define the exact number and position of grid lines.
- Select the column grid to which you want to add lines.
- Add grid lines:
If you want to… Then… add grid lines to the X axis of the grid click 
. 
Then, specify the position on the X axis where you want to add a line. add grid lines to the Y axis of the grid click . 
Then, specify the position on the Y axis where you want to add a line. - Alternatively, on the Properties palette, click Bays
for the X and Y axis, and change the number of lines in the Bays worksheet. - To add a line, click under the last number in the Bays list.
A new line is inserted with default values for distance and spacing. You can edit these values by clicking them and entering new values.
Note: You cannot enter a line number for the new line. The line number is provided by the application after you close the worksheet. - Click OK.
