Before You Start
Before rendering your scene in Autodesk® Rendering, you should prepare lighting, materials, and other settings as described here.
- Cameras
- Create at least one camera view that you want to render. Autodesk® Rendering requires you to choose a camera view.
- Lights and Materials
- Autodesk® Rendering supports only certain lights and materials. For details, see FAQ for Autodesk® Rendering in 3ds Max.
- Minimize the time for uploading and rendering
- Consider saving a copy of your scene that contains only the objects to be rendered.
Render from 3ds Max 2016 and Newer Versions
- Do one of the following:
- On the main toolbar, click
(Autodesk® Rendering).
- On the main toolbar, click
(Render Setup), then from the Target drop-down list, choose Cloud Rendering Mode.
- On the main toolbar, click
- If you need to, click Cloud Credits
Login to log in to your Autodesk account.
- From the Views To Render drop-down menu, choose the camera views to render.
You can render more than one camera view at a time.
- On the Renderer panel, choose the Autodesk® Rendering options you want.

You can click the Test Scene Compatibility button to open a Render Message window that displays messages about the suitability of your scene for Autodesk® Rendering.
