HtoA 6.3.6.1 - Arnold for Houdini

  • HTOA-2829 - Fixed an error in the Arnold Edit Material LOP when incompatible VOP connections are made
  • HTOA-2830 - Ramp connections now work properly in the Arnold Edit Material LOP
  • ARNOLD-15733 - [MaterialX] NodeGraph interface inputs with custom names do not render correctly with Arnold
  • ARNOLD-15717 - [MaterialX] The defaultgeomprom input property on node definitions is ignored when the input has a NodeGraph interface
  • ARNOLD-15741 - kick -set driver_exr.filename does not handle long strings
  • ARNOLD-15755 - Not calling AiEnd() results in an "Error 1 when uninitializing ADP"
  • ARNOLD-15756 - Non-rectangular quad lights should be a warning instead of an error
  • ARNOLD-15742 - driver_exr.custom_attributes do not work if you use Cryptomatte
  • ARNOLD-15682 - If parameter is not in UI group metadata it is missing from kick -info

  • Linux with at least glibc 2.28 and libstdc++ 9.3.1 (gcc 9.3.1) for Houdini 19.5, 20 and 20.5. This is equivalent to RHEL/CentOS 7.
  • Linux with at least glibc 2.17 and libstdc++ 11.2.1 (gcc 11.2.1) for Houdini 20/20.5. This is equivalent to Rocky 8.
  • macOS 11 or later
  • Apple Mac models with M series chips are natively supported by HtoA
  • x86-64 CPUs need to support the SSE4.1 instruction set. Apple Mac models with M series chip are supported natively mode.
  • GPU rendering works on Windows and Linux only and requires an NVIDIA GPU with the Maxwell architecture or later.
  • Optix™ denoiser requires an NVidia GPU with CUDA™ Compute Capability 5.0 and above.
  • Intel OIDN GPU support is limited to:
    • MacOS
      • Apple native CPUs (M1 and newer)
    • Windows
      • Intel Xe dedicated and integrated GPUs
      • NVIDIA GPUs using Turing or newer architectures
      • AMD GPUs with RDNA2 (Navi 21 only) and RDNA3 (Navi 3x) architectures
