User Permissions
Assemble categorizes user accounts as Administrator, Contributor, or Read Only.
Administrators have full access to an organization's site, consisting of the following permissions:
- Create a project
- Publish model
- Edit project properties
- Edit model and version details
- Archive project
- Delete project
- Delete project model version
- Add, deactivate, activate, and delete users
- Change project member status
- Link a BIM 360 project when user has access to the project in BIM 360
- Additional permissions are available for BIM 360 projects based on the role assigned to the user within BIM 360, which may include:
- Sign in BIM360
- View Project Files/Folder
- Link Documents
- Upload Files
- Toggle Document 3D/2D
- Document Panel
- Documents Details
- View Version Section
- Download Document
- Unlink Documents
Contributors have limited access to projects that they are assigned to, consisting of the following permissions:
Publish model
Edit project properties
Edit model and version details
Archive project
Delete project model/version
Add/remove project members within project
Change project member status within project
Additional permissions are available for BIM 360 projects based on the role assigned to the user within BIM 360, which may include:
- Sign in BIM360
- View Project Files/Folder
- Link Documents
- Upload Files
- Toggle Document 3D/2D
- Document Panel
- Documents Details
- View Version Section

Read Only users have restricted access to projects that they are assigned to, consisting of the following permissions:
View models and saved views
Additional permissions are available for BIM 360 projects based on the role assigned to the user within BIM 360, which may include:

- Download Document
